The Project has been invited to participate in the II International Congress on Critical Raw Materials

From 24th to 26th June, 2015, Burgos has hosted the II International Congress on Critical Raw Materials organised by the ICCRAM, the International Research Centre in Critical Raw Materials for Advanced Industrial Technologies and the University of Burgos.

With the participation of institutions and experts from several countries, the congress has devoted a parallel session to “Recycling, Circular Economy and Management of Resources” and the HAproWINE project was invited to explain its experience related to the wine sector.

Thus, Soledad Gómez, coordinator of the project, has given an overview on how to apply circular economy concepts to any sector to go then into detail with the case study of wine, highlighting the search for added value compounds and products from wine waste, the development of life cycle assessments to certain wineries or the design and proposal of an original ecolabel system for wine that helps consumers to make more informed choices based on the environmental performance of companies.
